Andromeda had the potential to be a great new series. Unfortunately, it failed. From the ridiculous reasoning in the story to the significant lack of character development, there were too many poor elements that this a bland game.
Should you play Mass Effect: Andromeda? The answer depends on two questions. Have you played the Mass Effect Trilogy or not? If you haven’t, I don’t recommend this game. If you have, play it once only for fandom.
All-in-all, Andromeda did not live up to the series namesake and the quality of storytelling and immersion a player has come to expect from Bioware.
Now that I’ve played Andromeda, I never have to again. I can re-play the Trilogy and know that my actions in the Legendary Edition have no effect on Andromeda.
